I lived there for about seven years. The apartment was decent. Things worked, I could get them fixed if they stopped working, and the managers tried to keep in touch with their tenants so we could recognize each other.
An unsurprising negative point was how the tenants who wished to ran a bit rampant when the office was closed. The owners' choice of security for after-hours assistance was never able to do anything when I called them.
The big problem is as others have stated. Greedy owners. Any place that forces you to pay water and sewer on top of the rent is bad enough. My rent increased every time the lease was renewed to such a level that I was paying more than I'd have to for a larger place in a different neighborhood before I left.
Then there is how they tried to violate their own lease agreement during my moveout. They tried to charge me for a full month's rent when I stayed over a few days after the lease ended due to problems with our movers. The lease specifically said there was a per-day charge at times like that. I refused to talk to them on the phone about it. I wanted a written record as to why they were doing that. They charged me the per-day instead.
I could name other problems, but they'd make me more recognizable to anyone who worked there when this happened. But as a final caution, if they ever suggest you use Mormon missionary labor to deal with a problem, watch them very carefully. Unless the current crop is more competent than the ones I had to deal with, they will require micromanagement.
